Traditionally, a chicken needs a piece of Tandoor meat soaked in yogurt and spices, then grilled in a cylindrical Tandoor oven. Most of us don’t, but you can still enjoy delicious Indian food in a regular oven.

Tandoori chicken is also famous for its bright red color mainly due to the spices used. If you think you can crack open old herbs hanging in your cupboard, think again – herbs have lost their color and strength over time, so if you’re making a tandoori chicken at home, buy the freshest the best quality herbs you can afford. Steps to Make It

  1. Collect the ingredients.
  2. Place the chicken breast on a cutting board, chop it into small pieces and place it in a large reusable plastic bag.
  3. Place all seasoned ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until a smooth, thick paste is formed. With fresh herbs, pepper makes the marinade red. If it’s not strong enough, add a drop of hood collar.
  4. Pour the marinade into a plastic bag containing chicken, close the bag and gently massage the bag to make sure all chicken is covered. Place the bag in a bowl and refrigerate overnight, if possible, for at least 6 hours.
  5. Remove the chicken and chicken from the refrigerator for 20 minutes until room temperature. It takes time to cook chicken directly from the refrigerator and harden it.
  6. Place the chicken on a heavy baking sheet. Place in the center of the oven and bake for 20 minutes if in the panel or 25 minutes if not yet. Remove the dish from the oven and let the chicken sit for 5 minutes to relax.
  7. Serve hot chicken, sprinkle Garam masala on cooked basmati rice with fresh cilantro and lemon wedge, and squeeze the chicken.
